Effectively managing well barriers and maintaining well integrity within limits is challenging for aging wells and have a major influence on maximizing the life of wells and reducing operational costs. This is critical not only for the design phase of the well but also for the operational phase. As more real-time downhole data becomes available, the efficient use of quality data for a more comprehensive engineering analysis has become very critical. Identifying the well integrity risks early can lead to better solutions for reducing associated costs and taking remedial action. The objective of this session focusing on well integrity is to highlight the application of comprehensive engineering analyses to improve the overall life of assets and maximize returns. The main well integrity issues covered under this session are: mechanical casing wear, wellhead movement, annular pressure buildup, corrosion of tubing / casing and erosion of tubing / casing.
