Diversion Design Guidelines and the Application of Advanced Diagnostic Tools for Field Evaluation

This webinar will begin with a historical review of diversion technologies applied in matrix acidizing and hydraulic fracturing treatments. The value proposition and measure of success will then be defined. We will build upon experiences to describe the optimization process of self-degrading particulate diversion in multi-stage hydraulically fractured horizontal wells. Diverter design guidelines will lead the reader through the best practices for choosing the appropriate base material, selecting the correct particle size distribution, and planning the deployment of the diverter.

We will review multiple diagnostics tools that provide insight into the effectiveness of diverting material. The tools that will be reviewed include fiber optic monitoring (DAS-DTS), radioactive (RA) tracers, and real-time pressure monitoring of the treatment well and offset wells.
