The world has gone through significant changes over the decades, in terms of energy consumption, energy generation and storage. Several of the technologies that are behind these changes have roots in materials development and implementation. This talk will focus on materials landscapes and challenges that have emerged over the years in tackling energy problems for the society. In particular, the impact of nanotechnology on the development of advanced materials for energy applications will be considered. Design and engineering of materials and the various paradigm changes, for example the potential impact of additive manufacturing, will be discussed. Our research group’s contributions to materials development in this field will be highlighted. All content contained within this webinar is copyrighted by Dr. Pulickel M.
