Course Credit: 0.1 CEU, 1 PDH

Multi-phase flow conditioning typically exists at the intersection of pipeline flow assurance and first processing stage and addresses a multitude of issues often neglected by Flow Assurance & Process Subject Matter Experts. There are major incentives to reduce footprint or weight during the design of production facilities. The reduced footprint and weight goal many times leads to improper selection of piping components that may deter the performance of processing facilities. By properly selecting piping components and configurations, it is possible to condition multi-phase flow to avoid major separation issues. Research efforts are required to close the gaps in multi-phase flow modeling to design better production facilities.
