Digital oilfield often concentrates on the software and organisational aspects of this approach, while the power of these systems will also depend on the quality of data and level of control implemented at the field sites. This presentation will take you through some of the history of artificial lift monitoring, both down hole and on surface, so you have a background in what is out there today, and also highlights what can be done today and what is possible, and will attempt to high light the challenges of implementing digital oilfield projects from a field equipment suppliers perspective. This session should give you a high level overview of the issues, practical limitations, and challenges at the well site and down hole to get the source data and controls for your project where you want them.

This webinar covers:
• Some basic outline of what is important to monitor around artificial lifted wells
• A brief history of what the oil field has done over the last 100 years in terms of monitoring and control of pumps, with some examples.
• An outline of what a typical ESP well has today in terms of remotely accessible measurement and control, with field examples, of good and bad cases.
• An outline of digital oil field development around artificial lift, where it has got to and some idea of where it will get to in the next few years, with field examples.
• A summary of the challenges around artificial lifted wells in terms of integration into an operators intelligent digital oilfield system from an equipment suppliers perspective, touching on validation of data, comparison of logged vs continuous data, and building systems that cope with intermittent data, as well as the need to co-operative working between operator and supplier.
