In unconventional completions, the plug & perf processes not only dictate the effectiveness of hydraulic fracturing stimulation but also determines the capacity utilization of the overall operation. Over the past decade, there have been several industry technological advancements that have allowed record-setting stages completed per day. However, variation in plug & perf processes due to labor inconsistencies still exists and constrains the overall efficiency rate. This discussion with Hunting Energy Services presents automated solutions to address the variables in the plug & perf processes. As well, we will analyze the integration of automated technologies available in both plug & perf and frac that could further improve daily stage capacity.
