In the path towards a net zero future, eolic and photovoltaic energy production have seen a growing presence in the energy mix, expected to further intensify in line with decarbonization efforts. Considering renewables’ intrinsic characteristic of being subject to weather variations and seasonal unpredictability, energy storage becomes fundamental. In this episode, Tenaris illustrates how in this framework, OCTG solutions may enable safe and efficient energy storage through two main technologies: Hydrogen Underground Storage and Compressed Air Energy Storage (CAES). Tenaris’s proven product portfolio has been fine-tuned to support pioneering projects in this field.
