Current data stores record the results of processes, but have limited capabilities to record how multidisciplinary processes generate these results, or the relationship between the results. The webinar explores the use of semantic networks to capture these multidisciplinary data relationships.

Drilling operation efficiency needs to be constantly improved. This can be achieved by a greater cooperation between the drilling operation stakeholders in order to take full advantage of available real-time information and by reducing the time necessary to test and validate new drilling technologies that are capable of efficiency improvements.

​Systems automation consumes digital data. Without reliable known data automation systems are inherently unstable. The problem is compounded when users do not own or control the measurements systems, as is required for interoperability. It is therefore important to understand the quality and reliability of the measurement systems being used in drilling automation, and to take steps to ensure that measurement systems are transparent. This webinar will explore significant work in this area, based on published SPE papers.
