Human Factors/Ergonomics and Petroleum Engineering: Making This Work Safer and More Efficient

In this webinar, Dr. Peres will discuss some of the efforts being made to integrate Human Factors methods into Petroleum Engineering. She will specifically discuss her research on procedural systems and the main reasons why operators don’t follow the work instructions. She will also share information about the Human Factors and Ergonomics Society (HFES) and its role in developing the knowledge base of the capabilities and constraints of the human so they can be integrated and applied to high risk settings like Petroleum Engineering.
