Role of CCUS on the Path to Net-Zero: Challenges for Large-Scale Deployment

While CCUS deployment at scale has been slow in the past decade due to different factors, ranging from techno-economics to regulatory/policy, efforts to reduce costs, improve project delivery, and advance the regulatory framework and policies have helped with the deployment of some successful projects in the last few years. We will discuss the role CCUS has to play in the decarbonization portfolio and how technological advances can help to reduce risk and attract the investments needed.
